New Cars in California Must Display Global Warming Score?

I thought this was a joke when I first saw it but then I realized that my beloved Cali just might do somthing like this.

"California is making it mandatory for cars to be labeled with global warming scores, figures that take into account emissions from vehicle use and fuel production."

Do you think its a good Idea even since Global warming caused by humans is a theory at best?

  1. I think it's pretty commonly accepted that humans indeed are causing global warming. In fact, the NSF and other international scientific organizations have all long agreed that humans are the cause for global warming. Even if humans aren't the main cause, there are tons of things we can do to slow it down.

    However, labeling cars with stickers is a poor effort, and won't really do anything except use up more plastic...


  2. It's a dumb idea considering they already have emissions labels.  

    Just another scare tactic from big brother, another expense for the car companies and another thing for consumers to worry about for nothing.

    China spews more c**p into the atmo than the US does.  Al Gore can bite the big one, swallow it whole and choke.

    I'd like to know what the sticker will say on his house.
