Question:

New Cartilage Piercing?!?

I just got my cartilage pierced. They used a small kinda thick silver ring with a ball on it. I was just wondering... after it heals, will it leave a hole as thick as the ring? I wanted to also put in a stud possibly when it heals and if the holes that thick it won't fit.

  1. Well first, did you get your cartilage pierced with a needle? It could be that your ear is gauged, after it heals you can just put a regular earring in it.

EDIT: Ok, since you got it done with a needle, it's probably gauged. If you want to put just a regular post earring in it, when it heals, it'll be fine, the hole will get smaller :) I had my cartilage gauged to a 14g and now I have a regular stud in it, and can't even get a 16g ring back in, cause it's gotten smaller.

    Good luck!

  2. it will be big, a 16g but you can still put a normal earring in after which is just one size down.

  3. The hole is going to be as thick as the bar of the earring they pierced it with.

It shouldn't be too big that a stud wouldn't fit.

Wait two onths til you change it though.
