Emenalo said in an interview:
“Without delving too deeply into it, the first thing is that I'm going to be supporting the manager and working with him in making sure that things run smoothly.
I have the responsibility to direct and manage our scouting structure internationally and domestically, and to keep an eye on and assist the progress of the academy. That's the simple summation.”
Emenalo said he was clear on who had the final say on transfers, with the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss that he would not compromise over this matter. The Nigerian agreed with Villas-Boas’ ultimate authority on this matter but maintained he did have a say in new signings.
The former assistant first team coach continued:
“The final decisions about who comes in and who doesn't will be the manager's to make, but to arrive at that stage there will be a lot of working together.”
With Emenalo having come in the Blues can work towards identifying their targets for the summer transfer window and bringing in players. So far, Chelsea are amongst the few clubs in the English Premier League who have yet to make any signings.
