  1. Make sure the contact and your finger are perfectly moist with contact lense solution.. Other than that, you just have to wait it out and get used to them.

Congrats by the way! When I got my first contacts it was one of the happiest days of my life lol

  2. You're also probably not adapting very well to the contact lens solution, or whatever liquids you put in your eyes to moisturize, if any.

I'd purchase a contact lens CLEANER first,...do NOT PUT THIS IN YOUR EYES,..then after that rinse with solution and put them in the case with regular solution, and then prepare your eyes with some lubricants, and if this all doesn't work, they may not be fitted properly, or get different kinds.

  3. I wore contacts before and when I first went to the doctor he had me to try them on in front of him first to see how comfortable I was with putting them on and stuff. he said it IS normal for for your eyes to be a little uncomfortable but it shouldn't last long.  your eyes are not uses to anything being on them.

What I find to work is taking them out and switching them because sometimes they get mixed up and that can bother your eyes. just be careful because if you have prescription you don't want to chane them if your eyes are diff.

or just take them out and re rinse them that works too. Always wash your hands befor putting them in because any little bit of dirt, lotions, hair product, or lent or anythign on the contacts will burn/irritate your eye.

  4. After you put your contacts in, try putting some sterile solution directly into your eye. It is happening because your eye is looking at the contact as a foreign object. It will go away after a few days but that will give you a little comfort until it happens.

  5. Its natural for it to fill that way for the first time but give it a few weeks and you should be getting use to them if not you need to get another pair!

  6. if its itchy

you should take it out, clean it with the solution,

put eyedrops in your eyes and put them back in

it might just be that its dry or just a small dust got into it.

  7. Congrats on getting contacts!

Well, it's normal for them to feel uncomfortable for the first few days or so. Since your doctor said they fit perfectly, you'll adjust to them eventually.

But wash your hands, take out the contact, rinse it with contact solution (both sides) and make sure it's not inside out. Slowly, pop it back in and roll your eye around. It should go into place. That's the best way to get them in, most likely without having any dirt on them.

If you still feel discomfort, it might be torn. If that ever happens, make SURE to put a new contact in.

Contact re-wetting drops are handy, so make sure to take them everywhere you go.

After you put them in in the morning, rinse out the case with warm water and let it air dry. Keeps bacteria from growing in the case.

Wear eye makeup that's contact lens safe.

Make sure to take them out before you go to bed (unless you have the kind that you can wear at night, obviously) and throw them out and use a new pair as directed. I change mine every 2 weeks, but again, make sure to take them out at night.

Well, those are my tips for contact lens care. Good luck, and feel free to email me if you have problems!

  8. Some people have allergic reactions to the solution that is used with contact lenses. Talk to your doctor about the possibility and what you should do about it.

  9. Hey don't wear contacts get the eye surgery i did and i am so happy no glasses or contacts!!!!!!!!!!
