New Crusade... Will anyone join me...?

Question

With recent stories about the Polar Bear, the Narwhal, and other endangered species making headlines, I suddenly realized that the most prolific, ubiquitous and highly adaptable "creature" on earth did not have a special interest group.

Will anyone join me to "Help Save The Bacteriophage"? Now before you say it, I've already inferred in my description the the Bacteriophage is not currently endangered, but it's only a matter of time. Why wait until the last minute.

Join now!!! Please help save the Bacteriophage.

I think part of the problem might be that a bacteriaphage is not a cute and cuddly species.

My suggestion is this:  splice the DNA of a more accepted species (such as canines) with the bacteriophage, and domestic it.  People will be more willing to respect the rights of the wild bacteriophage if you can illustrate the beauty of this creature on a personal level....

For those who may laugh,  when on group of our nations gets completely worked up over mike Vic and his dog fights, which were awful, not to play them down, but they get all worked up over that, while at the same time the will tell you that a child in the womb in a parasite?  and they do say that?  I guess you could have a crusade for about anything.

Bacteriophages can be pretty cool.

I was going to say "But if we save them, then humans are more likely to get sick and die!"... but then I realized that is not such a bad thing...

How exactly are we going to save them?

Break into our local pharmacies and steal all of their anti-viral drugs?
