  1. www.dell.com  go to support and live chat, much better than phone support.

  2. did you plug your monitor in after you started booting?  If the bios are set for auto and you don't have a monitor plugged in, it will show the green light and black screen.  Push and hold the power button until the system shuts down.  Make sure the monitor is plugged in prior to powering on the Dell and then power up the Dell.

If the monitor still doesn't work, call Dell support.  You may have a video card that came loose in shipping, a bad video card, or a bad monitor.

Do you have another computer to test the monitor?  If so.. plug it in there and see if it works.  Get as much info as you can prior to calling Dell because you'll most likely get a foreign person who will walk you through a script to determine the problem.  have your purchase info ready so you can prove it is under warranty.

  3. i think there is some internal problem of graphic card

  4. Try to switch to the monitor mode by pressing the FUNCTION key and the monitor key. The monitor key is usually on one of the number keys. It has an icon of the monitor.

This basically switches between external monitor and laptop monitor modes. If you are on external mode, then the screen on your laptop will be blank.

If this doesn't work, try restarting the computer (by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE) mutiple times.

If this doesn't work, call Dell.

  5. Call tech support
