New Diablo 3 RMAH exploit found – Video Games Update
It seems that Blizzard can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to the Real Money Auction House (RMAH) in Diablo 3. Ever since it was added to the game it has been a target of controversy from many angry gamers.
Recently a new exploit, created with a Hex editor, has emerged which changes the game’s user Interface (UI) and enables the user to buy items from the RMAH for the starting price instead of the final price. It has been reported that over the period of two
days, Diablo 3 gamers who use the auction house have suffered over $10,000 in damages.
Blizzard is once again trying to cover everything up and there have been reports by gamers that Blizzard forum moderators have been deleting all topics regarding the exploit and have also been banning some users who are asking too many questions.
Gamers all around the world were skeptical when Blizzard announced the RMAH add-on for Diablo 3. Many called it the worst idea ever and now it can be seen why; just like every other online multiplayer game, Diablo 3 is not hack proof and this will make things
very complicated for Blizzard if they don’t put an end to RMAH hacking leading to legal consequences.
A Diablo 3 developer by the handle of “Flaming_Cows” has denied Blizzard censoring threads on the official Diablo 3 forums by saying, “Every time I get even a hint of someone censoring, I investigate it myself and come down hard on it. If censoring happened
and people were not punished, then nobody told me about it. If you see it, tell me via PM or IRC and I will come down as hard on it as I initially did here. I am tired of people insinuating that it happens all the time and then never actually having evidence
or any record of pointing it out at the time.”
So according to Blizzard this is just the backlash of the disgruntled gamers who are not happy with Diablo 3 and are spamming the forums with false accusation and rumours to harm the game’s reputation. If it’s true then the haters are doing a great job as
Diablo 3 seems to be the most controversial game right now.
Blizzard however has not commented on whether the RMAH exploit problem has been fixed or not.
