I have a new digital tv converter and i was wondering how i would record tv shows with my VCR but they seem not to work with the other one on?

  1. You should hook up the converter box as if it was the antenna.  Usually, the antenna goes to the VCR, not the TV, but the VCR passes through the antenna signal.  The same is true for the converter box.  Plug its RF output into the VCR, then connect the VCR to the TV.


  2. First, run a coaxial cable coming from a coaxial wall jack, or other cable source, into the cable box's input. Then, run a coaxial cable coming from the cable box's coaxial output, into the VCR's coaxial input. Then run a coaxial cable coming from the VCR's coaxial output, into a coaxial input in your TV. Now, you will be able to record shows from the cable box on your VCR. Just put your TV on channel 3 or 4 to watch the cable box channels, and put your TV on channel 3 or 4 to put the VCR display on your TV, with the cable box channels.
