Question:

New Disneyland Annual Pass?

by  |  earlier

I've read that any kind of ticket no matter how many days it has left on it can be used to buy an annual pass. Now, if i have 2, say for example, 5 day park hopper ticket can i use them both to buy an annual pass? Any and all info on upgrading regular Disneyland tickets to an Annual pass would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I believe your info is correct!  Have fun it is soooo worth it!

  2. Can't wait to go to Disneyland !!!!

  3. Yes it is possible with conditions.

    1. You MUST do this before you have used all of your days or it expires.  Once either of these happens you can no longer upgrade the ticket.

    2. You can only use one ticket to upgrade to one Annual Pass.  It also has to be by the person who used the ticket because they are "non-transferable".

    3. The pass is backdated to the date of first use of the ticket.  So if for example the date of first use was on March 20th, and you go in on March 23rd to upgrade the pass will expire 1 year from March 20th.

    4. They will apply the price paid for park hopper ticket to the pass.  So you could not use something like a "complementary" ticket, as that has no value.  You also must purchase a higher priced pass than the ticket value.  That is you don't get money back if you tried to buy a cheaper pass.

    5. If you have something like a Magic Morning day on your ticket be sure to use that before you upgrade.  Once you upgrade you will loose that option, as those are not usually coded into the Passes.

  4. Yes. You can use your 2 tickets to receive 2 annual passes. You can use each ticket to upgrade to a pass of greater value than your 5 day park hoppers value. (The value is usually printed on the back). You just pay the difference. Also all signatures must match.
