  1. make sure you leave early to make it on time in case there is traffic. and don;t speed too much.

  2. paul and chat hit it spot on, just use common sense. and driving in ice and snow, dont get in a hurry to do anything. take it easy speeding up and slowing down, go in a parking lot sometime at night and slide around a bit, so you can get the feel for it

  3. This is the BEST advice ANYONE can give or get.......

Learn how to manage your time so you are never late, and follow other cars at a safe distance.  Hurrying and following too close are the MAIN causes of accidents in my opinion.

Here's one more.... if you are approaching an intersection with a green light and a car is stopped, slow down and pass him slowly. There MAY be a reason other than inattention for him being stopped, like a real short pedestrian.

  4. When changing lanes look over your shoulder to make sure a car is not in your blind spot.

10-15 MPH on the highway generally isn't considered speeding

    Always use your turn signal

When on the highway use the left lane(fast lane) ONLY for passing. Don't clog up the fast lane when people are behind you. If they are getting  bigger in your rear view move over.

When you pull up to a stoplight/sign don't stop right on the bumper of the car in front of you. Stop far enough away so you can see their rear tires on the ground. That way if they brake down you can go around them without reversing.

Dont drive in peoples blind spot especially on the highway. In general don't drive next to people if you can help it. That way if something happens you have room to maneuver. I have avoided accidents on the highway because I was able to swerve into the lane next to me.

When using your turn signal turn it on when you are prepared to go over. If you turn it on and leave it on then people will try to gun it to keep you from getting in front of them. In traffic your turn signal is to let the person know you're going over not to "ask them" for you to go over.

Be a courteous driver. If people are trying to merge then let them merge. If they need to change lanes then back up or speed up so they can come over.

When turning don't brake and turn at the same time. It makes the car turn worse. Brake THEN turn, don't do both.

  5. don't go over the speed limit watch out for stupid people i live in Toledo and people keep cutting me off, tailgating and speeding.

  6. Common Courtesy is contagious, so be nice.  I hate people that drives on the left lane and the right lane is empty.  Is illegal to pass on the right and you are forced to do it.  That is a lack of common courtesy and against the law.  Is not enforced as it should but it is...

  7. why would anyone want to drive. I ride in the back of the limosine , I enjoy music, watch television(news only) and have a drink if I wish, but the best part is I tell the man up front where and when to go, and how to get there, "go by the park charles"

  8. when drag racing if the car goes sideways,

don't let off the gas and hit it again..

she will hook up and slam the guard rail..

i learned that the hard way
