New England Patriots QB Tom Brady lashes out at teammates after game against Jacksonville
The New England Patriots just about managed to gain victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16 leaving an unimpressed quarterback Tom Brady to lash out at his teammates.
New England were up 23-13 in the fourth quarter thanks to Brady’s second touchdown pass of the night a two-yarder to wide receiver Wes Welker, however, the Jaguars started an unlikely comeback with a field goal bringing the game to 23-16.
With just one scoring play separating the two sides, Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne saw his final attempt intercepted in the end zone by Patrick Chung leaving the Patriots with the win.
That win though was not enough for Brady though and the Boston Globe reported that after the game the quarterback lashed out at his teammates for almost throwing away the game.
His anger is not without reason though.
The three-time Super Bowl winner is in the twilight of his career and he wants nothing more than another Super Bowl ring on his finger before he calls it a day on a glorious career.
With his team almost throwing away the game it is not hard to see where Brady’s frustration with the team is coming from.
Chris Gasper of The Boston Globe reporting the incident wrote on Monday:
"An irate Brady could be heard upbraiding the team in the locker room following the game, with several expletives mixed in for emphasis. Multiple sources who were in the locker room confirmed that the franchise quarterback lit into his team after a lackluster
performance."
Brady showed his frustration in the post match interview and commenting on the performance said:
"We played pretty terrible out there. It came down to the wire, and the defence made some plays. But that was a bad 60 minutes of football. We got outcompeted out there, outfought. We were lucky to win."
The quarterback will now be hoping for a better performance from his team when they face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
New England is currently on 11-4 and will be looking to deliver a much better performance in the next game to send a message that they are all in to win another Super Bowl title.
