New England Patriots QB Tom Brady talks about training camp - NFL News
New England Patriots are this year once again looking to repeat their feat of reaching the Super Bowl barring the loss to the New York Giants.
The Patriots will be firm favourites once again thanks to their star studded offensive roster led by quarterback, Tom Brady.
Brady is currently working out in training camp with his receivers and tight ends in preparation for the upcoming 2012 season.
With a brilliant wide receiver in Wes Welker and two of the best tight ends in the game in Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, Brady has no lack of weapons to throw to.
He will also have wide receiver, Brandon Lloyd, the latest arrival to the Patriots offensive roster as another weapon.
Brady spoke to the media after training camp and said:
“It’s been a lot of fun. We’ve got a lot of new faces out here between the younger players and the guys we’ve brought in. Everyone seems to be working hard. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but it’s fun to be out here on the field and working towards
the start of a new season.”
He also talked about developing synergy with Lloyd who joined from the St. Louis Rams this offseason and has also previously played for the Denver Broncos.
Brady said:
“I’ve thrown the ball to a lot of the guys except Brandon.”
Adding further he said:
“He and I have some extra work we’ve got to put in, a lot of talk a lot of communications like... From the time we walk in in the morning to the time we leave tonight, those are the things we’re talking about.”
The Patriots will once again be favourites to make the Super Bowl this year as they boast one of the strongest rosters in the National Football League (NFL).
Last season New England ended the regular season with a 13-3 record and made it to the playoffs. They went all the way to the Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis but lost out to the New York Giants in a brilliant game.
This year the franchise will be looking for another shot at the Lombardi Trophy.
