New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gets ready to play against Houston Texans – NFL News
New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is getting ready for Week 14 game against Houston Texans.
Belichick shared his views about Texans during a conference call on Tuesday.
According to official website of Patriots, Belichick praised the Texans’ consistent performance and said that they are capable of making big plays during any game.
He said:
“They’ve been very impressive all the way around. Obviously they have a great record, playing well offensively, defensively and in the kicking game.”
After watching the Texans’ games, Belichick admitted that every player has been performing well to contribute to the team’s victories.
Talking about the strategies the Pats will use against the Texans, the head coach said:
“You have to tackle them, you have to block them, you have to get open; they don’t give much away, you have to really work hard for everything you get. That will be a big challenge for us this week.”
Belichick believes that right now he has to concentrate only on the way his players are performing in the season and nothing else is important than that.
He does not to worry about anyone else at this stage, as there are a lot of games left and they have to keep working on the things which are good for their progress.
Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is performing really well this season. He has 15.5 sacks and 59 tackles. According to Belichick, Watt was a raw talent when he came out of the college but now he is progressing well.
He said of Watt:
“He’s really quick, he can split single blocks and run plays down from behind. He’s really a complete player, he does everything well. But yeah, that number of batted balls is, I’d say, an extremely high number. He’s very disruptive.”
Patriots have won nine and lost three games, and they are leading American Football Conference (AFC) East.
Texans are leading AFC South, and have won 11 games and lost one game against Green Bay Packers.
