New England Patriots might have a lead at halftime against New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI
New England Patriots is not the team that is as aggressive in the second half of the game as it is in the first.
The Patriots begin the proceedings with all the energy, but their performance goes downwards towards the end.
The American Football Conference (AFC) champions, Patriots, are going to take on National Football Conference (NFC) champions, New York Giants, in the Super Bowl XLVI matchup on Sunday, February 5, 2012, in Indianapolis.
Giants defeated Patriots in the Super Bowl XLII and the outcome was the same when these two sides met in the regular season game.
However, Patriots went on to win 10 games in a row after the last encounter between these teams.
That said, keeping the performance throughout Patriots’ winning streak in mind, it can be suggested New England will dominate Giants in the first half of the game.
After being defeated by Giants, the Patriots played against New York Jets and were leading by halftime 13-9.
In the next game, New England was leading, 10-3, against Kansas City Chiefs.
The halftime score against Philadelphia Eagles was again in favour of Patriots, 24-13.

The exploding New England was in tremendous form and scored 27 points in the first half of the game against Denver Broncos, which could only get 16 points.
Miami Dolphins gave a tough time to the Patriots, who failed to register a single scoring move in the first half as compared to the opponents’ 17 points.
In the last game of the regular season, the Patriots were once again behind by the end of halftime.
Buffalo Bills scored 21 points in the first quarter to get an impressive lead, which was reduced to seven in the second quarter.
In the first playoff game against Broncos, the Patriots were unstoppable and managed five touchdowns in the first half while allowing only one.
In the AFC championship game against Baltimore Ravens, New England was three points ahead after the end of second quarter, 13-10.
Out of 10 games, Patriots had a halftime lead in seven, and the team is likely to dominate Giants in the first half as well.
