New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has some funny Super Bowl memories - NFL News
After winning three Super Bowls in his career as well as falling at the final hurdle in two more, many would think that New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady will have some great memorable moments from these games.
He was asked about his most enduring memory from these games and the answer delivered as a joke surprised many in the audience.
Brady was participating at a charity event on Friday in San Francisco alongside Joe Montana, Jim Plunkett and Aaron Rodgers.
The quarterback in between laughs said that his most memorable moment was after last year’s Super Bowl XLVI defeat to the New York Giants.
"My recent one, this year after the game, I was in my hotel room after the game,"
Adding further he said.
“I was going to bed and I was talking to my wife after the game. You just sit up and you think and nobody quite understands -- your wife and your parents or best friends -- they just don't quite understand how you're feeling. You're just going through play
after play after play after play."
Brady recalled that his wife, super model Gisele Bundchen, told him that she said something that she should not have said.
The quarterback though dismissed her concerns and said that it did not matter whatever she had said after the game.
That “something” that Bundchen said is the infamous quote she gave after the game when she panned the Patriots receivers for dropping catches during the game especially wide receiver, Wes Welker’s drop in the fourth quarter.
Brady continued by saying.
"I woke up the next morning, I tapped her on the shoulder [and asked], 'Why did you say that?' She was talking about the best player on our team, Wes Welker, yeah. That was my most recent memory."
The Patriots lost the game 21-17 after Welker dropped what looked to be the catch that would lead to the winning play.
New York Giants rallied after gaining possession after Welker’s drop and quarterback, Eli Manning, led the Giants to victory in what was his second Super Bowl win over the Patriots.
This year the Patriots are looking to once again challenge for the Lombardi Trophy and Brady will return better than ever.
