New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker impressed with Indianapolis Colts – NFL News
New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker is impressed with the performance of Indianapolis Colts.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he shared his views about Colts saying that they are a tough team and playing really well. Colts are currently on a four-game winning streak, which is really good.
Patriots will play against Colts on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Colts and Patriots have won six games and lost three each. This is going to be tough game.
When Welker was questioned about his views on the quick turnaround of Colts, he answered:
“You would figure it would be a rebuilding type deal for the Colts and it’s not that way at all. They’re playing some really good ball with a lot of young players and then they have some veterans too who really kind of step up for them in crunch time. Obviously
their quarterback has done a really good job and Reggie Wayne is back to form, and those two ends are about as tough as they get.”
According to him, both teams are playing really well from the last decade and preparing hard to give their best shot this weekend.
When asked about his strategy for the next game, he did not reveal much and said:
“They’re definitely a good team and we are definitely going to have our hands full this Sunday.”
He feels good being the No. 1 offence in the National Football League 2012 season. The net total yards of Patriots is 3,873. They are leading American Football Conference (AFC).
Welker has caught 66 passes for 810 yards and two touchdowns. His last year's record was amazing as he caught 122 passes for 1,569 yards and scored nine touchdowns.
Quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Tom Brady are also performing really well. This season Luck is 208 of 362 for 2,631 with 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions, while Brady is 232 of 358 for 2,645 with 18 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
