  1. Personally, I thought it was a Maine thing. The first time I ever heard anyone using the term in any form other than the form it has in the dictionary was in the late '80s when I heard a comedy routine by Tim Sample. If you don't know who Tim Sample then let me explain a little. He's a New England comedian (I'd say Maine but I know at one time he was living in NH, though I think he may have grown up in Maine) who does Downeast Maine humor. His routine is, naturally, centered on life in Maine and when in character talks with a Maine accent (I say in character because he switches to his regular voice on ocassion and explains that's how he normally talks). Likes to do bits about Unc's Store (one of them includes this guy who gets out of his car after asking Unc if his dog bites only to be chased by the dog to which Unc explains that wasn't his dog), his son Hubbie (supposedly dumb kid, he named a muddy brown dog Snowball and made a video game where the goal is to avoid hitting a skunk cause when you hit it the game actually releases the smell of fresh skunk roadkill), and an old routine he took over from the late Marshall Dodge(well, actually he worked with Dodge's Partner the Rev. Robert "Bobby" Bryan when he first took over Dodge's part) called Bert and I (two lobestermen).

  2. I have found that in my experiences in Mass and the rest of NE. I don't really know why, it must just be a regional thing,

  3. OMG LOL, I say wicked alot too!! I'm from RI..

    that's wicked awesome!
