I'm still want the two Serbs and kuzzy reach to the last 4 so that they will be at the top 3.... and drop sharapova to the number 4 in the world.... but I'm still hoping that Ana ivanovic will win the title because she did well and just forgetting about the warm up at Berlin and Rome where she played a tiebreaker, 3 sets matches and lost to qualifier in early round... now she just dropped 15 games in 4 matches at french....

she's in the right place to win a first grand slam women's single title for Serbia... go Ana

As good as Safina played today, I would give her a chance against anyone, but I'm still looking for Ivanovic to win.

she is still my heart-felt prospect for the final. she and jankovic. the two best clay courters of the remaining field. and too,sveta is twice a runner-up at the slams after her championship win at US Open and she does not have justine in her way(something she has in common with jelena)because both of those moments were against justine. had it not been i think sveta would have won two more. now she has the perfect opportunity given her draw and now that sharapova is gone.

svetlana has her chances but i think there'll be a new grand slam champion and judging by the way ana ivanovic has demolished her opponents, most probably  she will.

My prediction is there will be a brand new grand slam champion.  It will be between Ivanovic, Jankovic (my pick), Safina, and Dementieva, who like Ivanovic has been in 2 grand slam finals before including there at Roland Garros.  Kuznetsova might be the dark horse though, but I don't think she'll win the title.  I'm rooting for Jankovic.

Svetlana always has a good chance of winning another slam, but mentally in the finals she just loses it. If she's focused and does not flake, she has a good chance.

I think so. Kuznetsova has a chance but I don't think she will win, but I hope she proves me wrong. I still think there will be a new champ and I think it will be either Ivanovic, Jankovic, Dementieva, or Safina.
