New Guess purse smells like fish?

Question

I bought a patent leather Guess purse and the inside smells fishy. I had the same problem with a cheaper purse I bought a few years ago but this is a big purse and so the smell when I open it is noticeable. I sprayed the lining really well with febreze yesterday and today since it still smells, I also added a spritz of my favorite perfume and 2 bounce sheets for good measure. I LOVE this purse and can't wait to wear it, any other suggestions if what I already tried doesn't work?

My new French Connection and also my Miss Sixty bags both smell of fish but neither are leather, perhaps it's a glue they use or something to treat the material? I'm going to try the fidge de-odoriser idea!

Just bought a Verg Wang purse and it smells like rotten tuna......its a shame you pay a lot for a purse and it smells....
