  1. Obviously, ensure you have the HDMI cable hooked up man...easy problem fixer

  2. It may be that your TV is craptastic. I didn't do enough research before buying my first. It was a Magnavox. I'd had great luck with that brand so I wasn't worried. Boy was I ever happy when it finally died during the warranty time and I was able to return it for a Sharp Aquos.

They are definitely not all 'about the same'.

If everything is hooked up correctly, talk to the people that sold it to you.

    Good luck!

  3. u might need a hd box, try calling up the people that sold u the tv, they may have an idea of what is going on.  also if u have cable, u might want to try checking the wire connections

  4. You did not say if you are getting HDTV programming.   HDTV require better source materials such as HDTV channels (over-the-air, satellite, or cable) and better quality DVD player (Blue-Ray).

If  you try to feed a VCR signal, it will look horrible.  Most standard definition cable channels will also look bad.

To get the best picture, you need either over-the-air programming receiving on a digital channel (e.g. 4.1, 7.1), a Hi Def cable or satellite box, or a Blue Ray DVD player.  And make sure that you use a HDMI cable to go between the cable/satellite/Blu-Ray to the TV.
