  1. It depends on where you move in Texas. Texas is sort of like another country, there's so many different cities and places to live. Dallas is a great place to live, lot's of nice suburbs like Plano and Garland. Houston is also nice and it's been growing a lot, but I personally prefer Dallas. If you prefer smaller medium sized cities, look into places like Austin (great place), San Antonio, Lubbock, etc. The humidity is really bad in the summer, so if you're not used to the Texas humidity, it could possibly be an issue for you at first (even if you think it won't be).

Is life better in Texas? It depends on the individual and what they think of Texas. I personally prefer North Carolina and Virginia, but if you think it's right for you, I would encourage you to take a trip and check it out for yourself. There's certainly some very nice areas in Texas, but there's other areas I'm not so keen on.

    Good luck.

  2. Well, I've always thought of Texas as New Hampshire without the snow or mountains!  Very similar attitudes, although Texas drivers are MUCH more insane.

Have you ever lived somewhere as hot as Texas?  I mean, it is REALLY hot down there.  And, there is very little public transportation there too.

You might want to try somewhere in-between first...Nashville or Louisville, maybe.

    Good luck.
