Question:

New Hamster Cage Help ?

I need a hamster cage (from England please). It needs to be plastic, obviously there needs to be some wire, but not accessible to the hamster as it chews. Not too big, not too small and preferably pink, black, white or purple. I've checked the Rostak ones and I'm not too impressed, so not really that make. And oh yes, not very tall at all. This may sound stupid, but it obviously has to have a wheel (preferably silent), a matching food bowl and a water butt. By the way, 1 storey or less, no more! Thank you.

  1. Put him in a fishtank then you paint the outside. then you buy the wheel (in whatever color you want) seperetly. Now make sure that you have the lid on it so it doest get out.

  2. there is some in stoke pets at home there 3:00

  3. just go to a pet store and look urself lol

  4. make your own

  5. I agree with Katie K.  Go to Pets at Home, the cages they have are good and any cage that is over £24.99 you get a FREE hamster starter kit (which is worth £6) which includes, shavings, food, vitamin drops, hamster book and a small bag of treats (i think that's it!)

In your question, you don't say what type of hamster you have. The cage will need to be different depending on what sort of hamster you have.  If you have a Syrian they will need a cage which has widely spaced wire or if you have a dwarf hamster like a Roborovski/Chinese etc they will need the wire which is closer together as they are excellent escape artists!!  Hope you find the cage you want!

  6. you wont get all that from one seller, you wont get it at all nevermind from one place.

  7. I have the perfect cage!!!! I have it it is from pets at home!

You can buy it from the shop itself or on the internet and it is small but big enough for 2 hamsters and has bars at the top which the hamster(s) can not reach resulting on it not being able to chew on!

The ramp wheel and watter bottle match and the food bowl matches the cage!

You can get it in blue, red, yellow,  purple and green!

It is Savic  and not rostak  also you can lift the wire of as a lid to get inside and place tubes in there resulting in being able to attach tubes to other cages(if needed)

In the picture it has a ramp with the food and bottle  underneath  is wear my hamster sleeps and underneath the bottle is wear he pee's!!!!

Here is a picture for you:

If this doesnt work go on google type in pets at home then go on the offical website then type in hamster cages then click on Rody hamster cage by Savic( the small yellow one!) click add to basket, get yourself a hamster and TA-DAH You have a great reliable cage!

    Hope this helped

    Katie

    xx

  8. I've got a pink Rotastak, a lime green Ferplast large Duna cage, and a Ferplast Flipper, (google that for a pic). Where do you live? I'm in Desborough, Northamptonshire and you can have any of them for free if you like? contact me at ghostofarose@hotmail.co.uk if you're interested, or if you're too far away, you can pay the postage only and i'll mail one to you :)

Or you could try www.preloved.co.uk or www.friday-ad.co.uk

  9. I don't live in or near England so I can't help you with buying a cage. BUT you can make a bin cage. Just buy one of those giant plastic bins, put bedding, a silent wheel, water bottle, food dish, ect. They are very easy to make.

Try joining the forum, there is lots of helpful people there.

  10. Try Pets at Home, they're your best bet shopwise, if you're looking for something colourful although a bit pricey.

Ideally, just go on eBay - you'll get what you're looking for there.

Have just replaced our hamster's cage with a two tier one, all accessories included and really colourful for under £25 including postage.

  11. Look on eBay. I got a fantastic Rotastak cage (It is excellent for my syrian hamster, though dwarf hamsters need ladders for the vertical tubes) for a great "buy it now" price. The company sellers are great. Think I got it from Net Pets or something. Very good. There are others that are not rotastak, but trust me the quality is great. Others tend to have more wire or are much smaller and quite boring.

If you are going to make your own, please make sure you cut lots of small holes in the lid so it is well ventilated.

  12. Where are you in england abouts? Because when i got my 3 hamsters cages i got the same ones but different colours from a pets at home store. They are really good and none of my wheels ever made a sound also they  have the different cages to suit different hamsters you should go to one of there stores or look online. hope this helped good luck!
