by  |  earlier

i just ended my freshmen year at a private high school. Now i am about to switch to a public high school for my second year. I'm used to uniforms and a very small school, but starting this september it will be the complete opposite. (regular cloths and a huge student body) any suggestions or tips for my first day?

  1. keep your cool,

    focus,

    dont be afraid,

    be yourself,

    be assertive

  2. Don't worry and be yourself! Get to know others and have fun!

  3. be nice to everyone and act chill, and don't hang out w/ the same group of ppl the whole time at the beginning, cuz otherwise, you could wind up hanging out w/ them the rest of the year. dont try and bs too much stuff though cuz ppl will be able to see through that.

  4. daaaaaaamn homie! in highschool u was the maaaan homie!

nah. dont expect anything. it wont be anything that you expect. just go in the building..and just be.

thats the solution. just be. its just HS. no big deal. put less thought in it. just BE homie.

  5. If you want to be a hopper (someone not attached to any one clique), where clothes that can fit in with everybody. Approach people first. When you enter a classroom and see someone you think seems cool, just sit down next to them and be like, "Hey, what's up?" If you don't like doing that, approach someone totally random and be like, "Hey! (give them a hug) How are you? I missed you..." Act like you know them. Don't limit yourself to one group. Be open to everyone.

    Good luck!

  6. i went to private school also and switched to public and i knoow how hard it can be but just act confident, but not cocky. if you havent already stock up on clothes and dont be too worried about it, it will be fine! :]
