  1. nope, just good old footwork and feelings for whats around and where to go.

  2. I'm not one who knows about these things..but maybe you should check back to some of the "old" ways that have been "discarded" and forgotten. I imagine American Indians might know about some of these "detectors". They seem to pass down their knowledge about these types of things.

Jack keeps me confused!! I can't figure out if he's a hard core skeptic..or a paranormal "helper". lol

  3. Since "paranormal" can relate to a whole group of quite different things (Bermuda triangle, ghosts, vampires, clairvoyance, telepathy, UFOs, psychokinesis, werewolves, etc), you need to be a little more specific about what sort of events you are trying to detect and identify.

    .

  4. Have you tried crystal divination.  It's thought to be psychological in nature and can only answer questions in four way.  Yes, No, I Don't Know, and I don't want to answer that.

It is very simple to do and if you would like me to explain how to do it just email me and tonight I'll take the time to write out how to do it.  So far it has worked for everyone I have shown it too which surprises me as that contained complete skeptics.

You need a light weight chain ( I use silver ) and a crystal or other piece of something like jewelry that weighs about the same as a ring.

  5. I've been giving the matter some thought since reading posts here.  I think there might be a couple you folk might try.

One's a home made spectroscope.  Cheap and easy to try out sometime.

Another involves ionization of water vapor.

Edit:  I'm throwing in something a bit more complex, but as simple as I can find a way to produce it.  A scalar-wave detector/measurer.  You'd need an oscilloscope, but they're available used at any surplus/junk electronics store, or you can make your own.

Edit 2:  Deenie - the 'old ways' are the ones I use and prefer.  But these folk prefer gadgetry, which might also work.  The two aren't mutually exclusive, and my ways certainly aren't for everyone.

  6. I'd say if it works, then it is a "known" device. Then we would have the evidence for the paranormal a long time ago.

I would not call myself a "skeptic" because skepticism is a method not a position. I want to know, not blindly believe. Convince me with solid evidence that stands up to testing and I can change.

  7. read hinduic vedas (vede in origin) it is a start for the knowlidge

u are looking for....and don't go to far there is no way back....

  8. I am not aware of any unknown methods that can be employed in finding paranormal activity.  Personally, I am completely unconvinced the "known" methods do anything at all.  I say this in all seriousness.

Considering there has never been any data--ever--gathered on a paranormal event, I am not sure what makes the "known" methods so special.

  9. I would like to see the paranormal investigators bring in an etch-a-sketch, not for the comedy value - but on the premise that spirit energies can be detected with a magnetometer. The iron filings could arrange themselves in a pattern when a spirit passed over it.

The simplest of tools might just be the best.

    Edit:

I actually meant one of those boards with the bald cartoon face and the metal filings that you make beards and hair on. Etch o sketches arent magnetic at all.
