New Jersey Devils ready to make history, win Game 6 against Los Angeles Kings -NHL Stanley Cup Finals
Game 6 of the 2012 National Hockey League (NHL) Stanley Cup Finals is certainly going to be exciting as New Jersey Devils are determined and ready to make history, take the match and force a Game 7 competition.
Defying and despite all odds, New Jersey Devils could very well be the first team in major league history that will win four straight games in a Stanley Cup Final to take the championship.
Martin Brodeur and New Jersey Devils have redefined their role in the Stanley Cup Finals and know that they just might be able to go all the way. Not trying would be the biggest mistake anyone could make and New Jersey does not want to make that blunder
in any circumstances.
"You know, if you're going to be there, you might as well try to do something special," Brodeur said. "We're almost back in the series here and these are things you have to reflect and be happy about.”
Knowing that almost all circles around the league were terming New Jersey Devils a goner team as they went down 3-0, captain Zach Parise is even more confident about their upcoming game in Los Angeles.
"We knew that odds were against us and we didn't let it bother us," Parise added. "We're aware that it is rarely done -- we know that -- but I think we've done a good job of not looking at the big picture. I think we've done a good job of kind of breaking
it down trying to win periods and win games. And, that's worked for us so far."
Los Angeles Kings definitely frustrated and ready to end the series right then and there in Game 6 but underestimating New Jersey will be a dire mistake.
Game 6 kicks off on Monday, June 11, 2012, at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California, at 8:00 PM EDT.
It should be an interesting matchup as one team will be looking to save their reputation and not turn out to be the team that choked when it counted while the other is bent on rewriting history.
Prediction:
Los Angeles Kings will win 4-2 in regulation with a third period rally.
