New Laptop...and downloaded rr messenger?

i just downloaded road runner messenger( on my laptop i just got a few days ago i dont know if this has anything to do with that) but i CANNOT open it. like i cant even get the thing to pop up to sign into my messenger? i havn't got a clue what to do...

any help?!
