New Little Mermaid ride at Disney's California Adventure?

I was recently at California Adventure waiting in line for Toy Story Midway Mania (amazing ride, by the way) and was talking with one of the cast members. It was a short conversation, I commented on the massive amounts of people and long line at Toy Story and he replied, "I know! Just wait until Little Mermaid opens up, it'll be just as bad." Then the line moved into the other section of queues, and I couldn't grill the cast member for more information on the new ride. So, anyone know anything about the new ride/attraction like when it will open, what it is, or where it will be (I'm assuming Paradise Pier, but could be wrong.) Thanks in advance!

What you heard was part of the plans for "Extreme Makeover-Disney Edition"(Not it's real or official name but you get the idea).

California Adventure is going to have a billion dollar(give or take a few hundred million) makeover where they are adding a new section called "Carsland" as well as removing other current attractions and adding in new ones.  One of the new ones will be the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.  This will include the area where Golden Dreams is currently.

I went there last month. I liked the new Toy Story ride. btw, the upcoming Little Mermaid ride opens up in a few years. It's part of the California Adventure expansion plan. Disney is going to have CA Adventure remade to make it more successful because reviews say that it wasn't as good as expected, like its not as successful as other Disney parks. They're going to make it more disney style. Watch this video I found, it has the Little Mermaid rie in it with the expansion plans. hope this helped. btw, I'm a big Disney fan.
