Question:

New Mailing Address in Military?

So I have a friend in the US Army, and we used to write letters back and forth a lot while he was in bootcamp and etc.

He recently got stationed someplace else besides Fort Knox.

I'm wondering if I write a letter to his old place, will they forward it to wherever he is now?

  1. Depends on if he put in a forward address and how long ago he moved. I know from being a military wife that when we move all our mail is forwarded. I have had mail forward from an older address to an old address and finally to our new address. But after a certain amount of time they no long will forward mail from an address. It can’t hurt to try. The worst thing is you will get it back.
