New Orleans Volunteer Opportunities?

For all of the volunteer opportunities in New Orleans, I am having difficulties finding organizations that are not working on building. Specifically, I would like the names of some organizations involved in education, literacy, afterschool programs, summer programs, etc.

I just got back from New Orleans...try contacting a local Church and if they don't have a volunteers program they would probably be able to give you the name of a program and get you connected with them.
