New Orleans evacuations...?

Question

I heard they are evacuating New Orleans and I was wondering what they do about the prisoners. Are they evacuating those as well? How can they logistically do that? Are they transporting them to some sort of makeshift facility? I wouldn't think with so much crowding that they would fit in other prisons? Anyone have information?

If evacuation of detention centers and jails becomes necessary, the inmates will be divided up and sent to facilities outside the danger area.  Each of them would do their part to spread out the extra bodies.  I'm sure this was started even before things got too serious.  Cheers!!
