the OT "NO" mentioned in Nahum 3:8, be being repeated;"Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?". (9) "Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength...". Many residents are from these areas of the world? Just thought it interesting. What do you think? There is nothing "new" under the sun.

  1. ummm.... fail. how many egyptians have you seen in new orleans, or ethiopians?

  2. YOUNG MAN, YOU'RE RIGHT IN SAYING, THERE'S NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN.  I'VE LIVED THRU A LOT OF SUN RISINGS & SETTINGS, AND THINGS ALWAYS SEEM TO COME BACK AROUND.

THAT VERSE DOES DESCRIBE NEW ORLEANS.  HER RAMPART IS THE SEA & MORE THAN 300 MILES OF WALL FROM THE SEA SURROUNDS HER.

  3. Look, a book written thousands of years ago has no effect on events of today.  I have never seen New Orleans refereed to as NO, but as NOLA.  It's a simple abbreviation.

  4. Did they call it Nawlins in Nahum?

No.. or rather NoAmon is better known as Alexandria and as far as I know, no Hurricane has ever hit there.
