  1. If this happens agiain...im gone for good...and i think 95% would agree its just to much to deal with

  2. It is very clear that if the catastrophe of Katrina happens again the city will never recover.  New Orleans will still be there because it's a port and can't be replaced.  However, all other business will go elsewhere and take the population with them.

However, Katrina was the strongest storm ever recorded to strike North America and the canal walls that failed (flooding the city-proper) ALMOST held. The levee system is much stronger than it was when Katrina hit and some of the vulnerabilities (like the canal walls) have had work done to eliminate to problems.  The system is getting a $14 Billion upgrade that should be finished in 2011 or 2012, and there will hopefully be more work done after that.

  3. It is happens again Im gone for good. There is only so much a person can take.

  4. I live in the western part of the New Orleans area so we did fine during Katrina. If we do fine again, then yes, we will come back. This is home.

  5. I have a place for a small single family to visit for awhile in Memphis, Tn. if they need to escape until it is safe to return.

  6. I'll move.  Two times is just too much.  If Gustav is a repeat of Katrina then New Orleans is finished.

  7. nah, bush fixed all that didn't he ?, i know he flew over nola and looked at the mess....

  8. Wont be able to AFFORD to stay...will move!
