New Pink GHD - need euro to us adapter converting voltage?

I just bought a pink GHD hair straightener off of ebay but I didn't realize at the time that it had a european plug. I found a euro to us adapter cheap from an ebay powerseller, but the description says that it does not convert voltage. It says that it works with smaller electronics but does not work with larger ones. The GHD does not have a "brick" plug but a normal one. Will that adapter work?

If it's a GHD MK4, it is dual voltage meaning that it will automatically go from 230v to 110v.  So it should work but I'm not sure about the brick..plug.
