  1. I'm sure it's legal, as long as someone doesn't have to bring in their own food for dietary or religious purposes. It's like if a teacher makes a "no eating in class" rule, that's perfectly legal. Pizza Hut is probably tired of people sitting around eating their food from home instead of working / cleaning for minimum wage. Plus, they probably want employees to eat their pizza, so they can make money.

  2. I've never heard of this. I worked at a Pizza Hut last year. I never saw an employee bring their own food in but I was never told not to. All the people I worked with just ate left over pizza. It was free.

  3. The only thing that comes to mind is that the policy was put into place because anyone could put anything into their food and bring it into a sterile environment and contaminate the area, make others sick or try to poison someone.  As for the drinks, same thing, who knows what's in that bottle of water? In any chain restaurant, the food is the same, ordered from the same company or sales warehouse and is strictly regulated, inspected and adheres to all FDA regulations.   Now, I certainly do NOT agree with this policy, but from a legal standpoint, I can understand WHY they would enforce this.  I hope my insight helps you to understand why they would do this.  Ohio too!

  4. That's a New one on me never heard of such a thing, I don't think they can tell you what to eat.--Ohio

  5. well they probably dont want contaminations being brought in from outside. also its to keep people from bringing in food from a competitor.
