New Plasma tv; theres a few pixels that are messed up?

I just recently bought this new flat screen tv, and near the far corner to the right; theres like 4 pixels that seem to be discolored?

Is there anything i can do? its really messed up.

  1. You cant try slightly pressing on the pixels to see if they regenerate back to the original color.

    It worked for me; give it a try but NOT to hard.


  2. No this is not exactly normal. Most flat panel makers will say that because they don't want returns. I have a 4 year old Pioner plasma with zero dead pixels.

    Whatever you do don't push on the screen. While LCD screens are usually soft and you can touch the pixels and make the color run (stupid thing to do) plasmas have hard screens.

    If you purchased new, take it back right now. Don't put up with dead pixels. If you can't return, you are out of luck as there really isn't anyone to go to just to fix a few dead pixels.

    theres at least a few pixels messed up on anything plasma.
