Brett Lee yesterday became the fastest bowler to achieve 300 wickets in ODI internationally. Given that he has a possible 3-4 years left in him at top level, what do you consider his ultimate wicket count COULD become?

  1. Id say maybe the 400 mark or so.but if he's fit, who knows he could beat akram....akram has 502, and that has stood for awhile....while murali trails with 466..

believe it or not, jayasuriya as an opening batsmen with some 12000 runs has 309 ODI wickets!

guys, you cant call murali a chucker. he's arm is a natural case, just cause he is breaking records doesnt mean he is throwing.

  2. well done to a true champion

i recon he could look at about another 150 or so wickets

  3. lo siento no entendi, ablo español

  4. he has 1-2 yrs max, i dont see him bowling 140km/h at 35/36

  5. Congratulations to Brett Lee.

I would like to see him taking 500 odi wickets.Unfortunately he will not be able to break the world record which will soon belong to the mighty chucker who will extend it it to 600 atleast.

  6. He did get them without the aid of drugs or cheating which is not the case for some top bowlers I could name. Here's to another 300 for Binga

  7. He has the potential and he can surpass what Walsh and Kapil Did as Fast bowlers

  8. Montitude

u are a rare indian who calls murali a chucker

  9. Lee still has a lot of potential, but dey gotta go easy on him or he will burn out.I see nother 100-200 wickets in his future

  10. He could reach 450 wickets, possibly 500. It really depends on his fitness, especially with his increased workload at Test level.

If he stays fit, there is nothing to stop him reaching 500.

  11. 425 - 450

  12. Having broken the record of Waquar Yunis, he should now aim to break the record of Wasim Akram for most wickets in ODI and if he achieves that it will be a great feat.

  13. congratulations

  14. should have known you wouldnt let this one pass without bringing to our attention here hey binga!

well 300 wickets in quick time to a good, honest, quality bowler, well done mate, but the jobs not done yet, i dont know if he would get past 450 cos with the amount of cricket coming up in the next couple of years, i think he might start missing afew ODIs in the future to keep himself fit and focused for test cricket, having said that, i think that will only last the next couple of years cos he will want to get back into the thick of it for the 2011 world cup, after missing out last year hes gonna be a hungry man for a second world cup winner's medal

so having said all that, i think 400-450 wickets and a long standing legacy as a bowler that people will tell there grandchildren about much in the same way that people talk about guys like Lillee and Davidson

EDIT: hrmm i must have missed that one, tho i must admit its nice to see these kinds of questions instead the "who is better" and MMC/IPL questions but how could we forget it, i knew theres no way your favourite mans milestone could pass without you posting your congratulations on here lol

i wish shed post more on here but i can understand why she doesnt cosidering the c**p and abuse she copped in here form the scumbags in this world, after all i make less posts then i used to as well so i can understand her point, besides i sent her an email yesterday that should keep her occupied for a while, but since there has been a bit of a lack today, i think i might have to come up with one, let me do a little research and i will post it soon

  15. Well congratulations to Brett Lee for getting to that milestone, he's a remarkable bowler and has risen to the challenge of leading the bowling attack incredibly well. I think that if his ankle holds out and he generally stays fit and health without any more major damage or problems then there is nothing to say that he won't achieve the 500 (and beyond) wicket milestone.
