  1. Even if your really shy, try to be outgoing.

I don't know how old you are in eleventh grade though, as I'm British and we doreception, year one, year two etc.

Basically, kids should be ok. Someone will like the look of you (hopefully) and everyone can emphasise with what it's like.

    You'll be fine!

  2. don't stress about it

its always good to meet knew people

im sure you wont be the only new one

just keep contact with you old friends

    and make new ones

try to meet people over the summer too so you will walk in with more confidence knowing a few people

  3. Hey!!!  I PROMISE it'll be okay!  I have 2 children, we have moved about every 2-3 years due to husbands job.  This year, however, my daughter (17/Senior) chose to change schools in our school district....GET INVOLVED!!!!!  Try out for EVERYTHING....school play, cheerleading, school ambassador, office help....the more activities you are involved in, the more people you will meet!  DRESS to impress!  STUDY< STUDY<STUDY - make good grades - that will get you on the teachers' good side and the "better" class of kids!  Good luck...even if you don't make the lead part in the play or head cheerleader....being involved will help you meet all the "right" class of kids...you'll do fine!  Also, always SMILE - a pretty smile always makes a young lady pretty - also...people wonder what you're smiling about!

Good Luck, & don't be sad...look at this experience as a chance to meet other friends (you'll NEVER lose your other friends) and when you get out of high school, you'll know how to meet other kids in college & work, too....

just tell your Mom that you need a few "special" things at school this year!  Make her buy you those few things at the mall that will make you feel as special as you truly are!

  4. I moved across state at the beginning of 11th grade and had to start all over, too. It was hard at first, but I ended up making some really good friends & met my husband at that school too.

Anyway, you cannot change the situation you are in, so make the best of it. Find some new clubs or groups to join, be open to new situations and ideas and you will have some friends before you know it.

It is also a lot easier to stay connected to your old friends via internet and cell so be sure to keep those connections open as well.

  5. just be yourself and make an effort to get to know people.  I'm sure you will have tons of friends in no time....you just have to be willing to put yourself out there!  good luck! :)
