New Smooth Green Snake WAY bigger than first?

I just got a new smooth green snake and my gawd it's a porker. It's easily 3 times the size of my other one which is over a year old and likely fully grown. Can I assume the new one is a female and the other male? Anyone have any luck breeding them in captivity? Any secrets?

  1. Yes,it`s probably a female,,,never did try to breed them though....I have a male.

  2. No, with most colubrids, there is no difference in size between male and female like there is with pythons and boas. Is it a smooth green or a rough green? Rough greens get bigger than smooth greens. Just look at the scales for a little ridge going down the middle. These are called keeled scales and are found on a rough green snake.
