New South Wales announce new squad – Cricket News Update

To make up the losses, NSW team management has decided against importing players – rather, outstanding club performers, and young players on the fringes have been promoted and granted state contracts.
“While it will always be a challenge to replace cricketers with Test match experience, the New South Wales SpeedBlitz Blues still have a core group of players who have experienced success in domestic cricket, and many of them have represented Australia in their careers to date,” said NSW chief executive http://www.senore.com/Cricket/David-Gilbert-c52821.
“There are several new names in our squad this summer, all of whom have been selected due to their impressive performances in both grade and second XI cricket,” he added. “There are excellent opportunities on offer for the season ahead.”
Batsmen Tim Cruickshank and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scott-O-Henry-c89046 have both been granted deals and will feature as openers for the state side, after the departure of the entire top order (which was previously made up of Hughes, Katich and Jaques). Kurtis Patterson is the youngest addition to the batting line-up – the 19-year-old made a spectacular Sheffield Shield debut last summer, with an emphatic knock of 157.
