New South Wales v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Justin-Kemp-c1750 – Cricket News Update
South African club, Cape Cobras, have started their Champions League Twenty20  (CLT20) campaign on a winning note, as they thrashed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-South-Wales-c823 (NSW) in group-A match played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Cobras showed great character and chased down a tricky total of 135 runs with seven wickets in hand and 16 balls still to play.
The skipper of South African club, Justin Kemp, was delighted with the outcome. The skipper praised the efforts of his players, who stepped up and defeated a strong team. However, Kemp admitted that they were a bit sluggish in
the field and need to improve that before the next game.
At the match presentation, Kemp said, “We are really happy getting a win against a very good side. The guys came exceptionally well; we read the wicket well and took the pace off the ball. Then the guys batted exceptionally well.
We might have got ahead of ourselves when we dropped those catches.”
Former International cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gibbs-c60021 was jubilant after grabbing some
public attention.
 “Lovely to be back here and nice to get off with a win. Ask Justin what was happening in the field. But even after those lapses, it's nice to finish the way we did. It was a two-paced wicket, slower, bowl back of a length, and
it stops at you. You were better off hitting through the line rather than across,” said Gibbs.
NSW skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SM-Katich-c2543, was disappointed after losing the game. Katich believes that his side should have scored more runs especially after the start provided by his openers.
Wales were going along nicely half way through their innings, as they had scored 82 runs for the loss of two wickets. However, the opposition bowlers pulled things back drastically and restricted NSW to 135. Cape batsmen showed
NWS how they should have played and chased down the total with minimum of hustle.
Both have three days of rest before their next clash. Cobras will be facing Chennai Super Kings while NSW will be going against Trinidad & Tobago, both matches will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
