New Stadium for Miami Marlins ready – MLB News
When the new season kicks off in 2012, Major League Baseball has plenty of excitement to offer to baseball buffs. The Miami Seaquarium will have its inauguration next year, but the features it has have already captured the imagination and fascination of
spectators. Among other things, it will have killers whales coupled with dolphins walk on water as a magnificent aquatic attraction.
The aquarium to be displayed at the stadium has a reason of its own according to the Miami Marlins organisers. This is largely because of the fact that the stadium is situated around the Atlantic Ocean. The decision to put the aquariums is to create an atmosphere
that closely resembles to the surrounding of the stadium and the city’s environment.
That 450-gallon fish tanks that have already been installed there speaks volume for the beauty the organisers have aimed to add to the stadium. They are placed in the first and third base sides. All other safety measures have also already been ensured. The
glass installed, as the reports indicate, is shatter-proof and will also be helpful to protect the fish in it.
“It really a natural progression from the original mandate from Jeffrey, which was to make this building completely Miami,” Samson said. “So that our fans, those in South Florida, and really baseball fans around the world, when they see a Marlins game on
TV, they will know very quickly that it is in Miami. For all the millions of people who come to the games, they will know they're in Miami as well.”
It is important to emphasise here that the idea has never been experimented anywhere else so far. “The reason this has never been done before, is not that it can't be done,” Marlins president, David Samson said. “It's because no one thought to do it.”
All the features shall be a magnificently beautiful thing to behold once the inauguration ceremony is held next year. Coupled with the breathtaking charm of the ballpark, Miami Marlins shall also hope to perform as magnificently on the field.
