New Super Mario Bros. question...?

In the New Super Mario Bros. game, I can't get to the cannon in World Three (the tropical beach level). It looks like its connect to the Haunted House. Where do I go to get to the cannon?

Press the button which a door will appear. Dash further run down the steps and next to another button you will see a door open it before it's gone! If you don't see it that means it's too late and you will need to  go faster next time.

It's through a secret in the Ghost House.

When you know that you have cleared the secret, the flag at the end will be red.
