The USGA is "supposively" looking for a new home for the U.S. Open in a few years!

What course would you guys like to see the TOUR play?

  1. Augusta would be fun to see.

  2. I'd love to see Pumpkin Ridge played again for any USGA event.

  3. First of all, it's SUPPOSEDLY.

Secondly, the TOUR is different from the U.S. Open.  The TOUR plays their own courses, while the USGA chooses their's.

And, lastly, the U.S. Open is pretty much booked through 2015 and, while the USGA is certainly open to playing its championship on great new courses, it will likely keep the majority of the near-future opens on their rota of classic courses.

  4. Two public courses have been venues for the USGA Open and with great success. Bethpage in NY 2002 and the just completed 2008 at Torrey Pines. I was astounded to hear the greens fee at Torrey was $ 185 ? This is Public ? The golf course doctor will be on the prowl again to find that course which will be the next challange and to renovate it to mess up the current players' games.
