New Years Eve in Melbourne. Where is open in the Fitzroy area?

Anywhere open that you would recommend on Smith or Brunswick Streets? Preferably without a large cover charge. Somewhere with a band (originals not covers) could be good? Is Lambsgo barr open?

Do a search on google to get the club's websites. Maybe even enter "Melbourne NYE"

I know here in Newcastle, everything is open till about 3am (a few till 5am & 7am) but if your not inside the clubs by 2am you cant enter & everywhere that is anywhere has live music!

Sorry I couldnt be much more help. If you can't find any websites (which would be really unusual) just call around to the local pubs/clubs during the day, they will be able to give you specifics!
