New York City Skyline "cut out"?

Question

My friend is throwing his girlfriend a s*x in the City Bday party. I am suppossed to help him cut cardboard moving boxes into the skyline as a backdrop. Can anyone help me figure out how to start this? I have no clue!

Take a look at some of the following sites for the right 'look'.  Then collect as many flat/large pieces of cardboard....try to locate refrigerator boxes (contact appliance stores) and see if they will give to you.   Hand draw the skyline you want, cut it out with razor knife (if you can) and then spray paint black.   After all, you are only looking for the skyline (tape together to go along the wall(s).....use clear or black push pins to attach them to the walls, or even that temporary 'glue' they have now - removes immediately and leaves no holes/reside ......Then have a circle in a glow in the dark paint hanging from the ceiling (the moon!).
