New York City???

Question

In New York City, New York, what are some restaurants where they aren't that famous and are...you could say...not fancy. just some regular restaurants. directions would be great! i'm not talking about fast-food, i mean, where they come and take your order and give you your food.

And, are there any apartments somewhat close to it, if not, what are the closest ones?

tgifridays in Queens on 7000 austin st.... great bar... intimate dining.... great service and wide selection on the menu. theres also alot of apartments walking distance to it. its basically in forest hills if you take the train get off at 71st and continental. its a whole strip with alot of choices as far as resteraunts go and shopping area.

I'll give you  examples from my neighborhood, Prospect Heights in Brooklyn - a residential .neighborhood with brownstones and apartments everywhere.

1.  Aliseo 665 Vanderbilt Avenue - Rustic Itaqlian

2.Amorina  624 Vanderbilt Ave. - very thin crust pizza, unique

3. Beast 638 Bergen Street at Vanderbilt Avenue - tapas style

4. Zaytoons 594 Vanderbilt Ave  At St Mark's Pl - Middle Eastern, cheap and very good

All of these places can be reached by the 2 and 3 train to Grand Army Plaza, walk down Plaza Street East for one block and just walk down Vanderbilt or

Q train to 7th Ave walk one block East on Parl Pl. to Vabderbilt.

This is just some examples of one area, every neighborhood has  their own special places!
