  1. For a nice restaurant with great food, atmosphere and service Gramercy Tavern cannot be beat. It's not outrageously expensive either.

Pizza - everybody has their opinion -- I like Arturo's on Houston St. also has funky atmosphere and live Jazz. John's Pizza Bleeker St. is excellent, but not so great atmosphere, they have other locations including Times Square that are a little nicer.

  2. For the fine food I like Chanterelle Restaurant. 2 Harrison Street in TriBeCa.  Its classic, not too hip but not too musky either.  The food is as good as it gets anywhere and its suitably romantic.  Its a nice size too, not to large and its a beautiful room.

There are many pizza places and you should try several places.   If you get to Brooklyn Grimaldi's at 19 Old Fulton St. on the Water under the Brooklyn Bridge is great and very famous.  If you do one of the hop on hop off bus tours its on the Brooklyn Loop and I think the Night Loop as well.  You also get an amazing view of the river and Manhattan!

    Congratulations!!!
