New York Giants' centre David Baas undergoes medical examination – NFL News
When New York Giants' centre David Baas was forced out of the starting line-up against Green Bay Packers last week, he was suffering with headache. His condition is still not better that has forced him to undergo some serious medical
examination.
On Wednesday, the team described his ailment as ‘intense headache’ whereas coach Tom Coughlin feared that it could be worse than just a headache.
“It’s much more serious than a headache, obviously,” Coughlin said.  “(The migraine-like headache) was the thing that he brought to the medical people on Sunday. There’s a lot more to it than that. He continues to - as a matter
of fact, he’s having tests even today. He spent most of the last couple of days doing tests.”
Along with the headache, he is also feeling pain in his neck, which is even more alarming.
Baas has missed three games this season due to different injuries. It is unlikely for a player who is known for maintaining high standard of fitness and has not missed any game in the last three years.
This year, he sat out against Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers. His participation in the next week’s game against the National Football Conference East division in-charge, Dallas Cowboys, is still doubtful.
No detailed information is provided about his injury so far, which has fuelled the speculations that he might miss the rest of the season. When Baas was asked about his participation in the next games, he said he was not thinking
about the future games. However, he maintained that along with the game, his health is also important for him,
“I really want to play football, but my health is very important to me,” he said. “They’re going to make the best decision.”
Bass himself is not quite sure about the nature of his injury and said that the doctors were still trying to ascertain the real cause of problem.
Giants have four games left in the regular season. They should win all of them to secure their place in the playoffs. At the moment, they are ranked second in the NFC East division where Cowboys have a complete one-game lead over
them.
