New York Giants' offensive line satisfied with performance – NFL News
Last Sunday, the undefeated Green Bay Packers continued their perfect run from last season and overcame New York Giants to hand the latter their fourth straight loss. However, Giants performance on the day cannot be ignored. To
say the least, they gave strong competition to the NFL leaders, falling short of a victory.
Giants’ offensive line knows that ending the game with only a three-point difference between the two sides is not something that every team in the league is capable of doing.
“Green Bay wasn’t going to hold the game up for us.  So we knew we had to play, we had to make the best of the situation, and we fought, we just didn’t come out on the right end of it,” Kevin Boothe said.
Giants received a serious blow in the form of injuries of their star players, who were not available against Packers. Adding to their misery, their centre, David Baas, was ruled out just before the start of the game owing to headache.
Giants were forced to rearrange their line, but right tackle Kareem McKenzie thinks there was nothing to worry about.
“At that point you have to play the game, it doesn’t matter who’s down, who’s up, you gotta go out there and put your best foot forward. And make sure that whoever is out there that we’re all on the same page and we can go out
there and move the ball effectively,” he said.
This weekend, Giants are going to take on the Dallas Cowboys, who are leading the National Football Conference East division with a complete one-game lead over them. Things will come back to square on and both teams will hold a
tie for the first place in the division if Giants win the week-14 encounter at the Cowboys Stadium on Sunday.
Meanwhile, safety Kenny Phillips, who was injured during the game against Packers, has said that he will be fit enough to make it to the final line-up against Cowboys.
Although his sprained knee forced him out of the practice session, Phillips said that management had not conveyed to him that he would not play. He was of the view that the rest of the four games are very important for Giants and,
he said, he wants to be play all of them.
