New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw questionable, WR Hakeem Nicks probable for Washington Redskins
After taking part in practice on limited basis on Thursday, New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw could not attend practice session of Friday, and has been listed as questionable for Week 7 game against Washington Redskins.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, who returned to the field last week after missing three weeks, reportedly practised the entire week, and has been listed as probable for the weekend’s game.
Bradshaw, who usually practises only one day a week owing to his foot injury, had earlier said that he was ready to play against Redskins.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin had earlier said that Bradshaw would carry most of the load of running game against Redskins, and the coach is still hopeful that the running back will play against Redskins.
ESPN quoted Coughlin as saying of Bradshaw:
"He worked yesterday; he was a little sore today. We're trying to get him to a point game day where he's healthy."
Earlier, Bradshaw said of playing against Redskins after practising on Thursday:
“I feel good. There’s no setback and I’m ready to go.”
Meanwhile, Nicks has also shown good recovery from an injury that kept him out of three games this season.
After playing the first two games of the season, Nicks missed the next three and returned to play Week 6 game against San Francisco 49ers.
He has reportedly taken part in all practice sessions this week, though he attended some of the sessions as a limited participant.
The wide receiver said:
"It's feeling better. I feel like starting to practice is a way to break it back in and get it better, so I took that approach this week and got the green light to do it. It's definitely getting better."
Before the game against 49ers, Nicks was not able to train heavily and attended only one practice session. In the week leading up to Week 7 game against Redskins, Nicks has got enough opportunities to train and find his rhythm.
He said:
“Had a full week of practice so I expect it to be better, and next week will be better and keep getting better."
